After evaluating several potential vendors within the Toronto IT marketplace, Sunnybrook chose SharePointHQ to perform the migration of its previous hospital portal, based on Windows SharePoint Services 2.0, to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. The new WSS 3.0 portal was fully configured to take advantage of SharePoint 2007's Collaboration feature group's capabilities. The hospital portal delivers to Sunnybrook a secure, centralized portal, with advanced document collaboration features, accessible to hospital end users through a single point of access. Cooperation and collaboration between Sunnybrook's end users, teams and departments are further enhanced by SharePoint 2007's Web 2.0 functionality.
The migration to SharePoint 2007 was performed by SharePointHQ's Professional Services division using the gradual upgrade migration method.
