SharePoint HQ
Utility Components web part extends your SharePoint functionality by
providing you with a choice of 5 utilities. Common SharePoint
navigation elements can be configured according to your needs and
located outside of their original Microsoft SharePoint web zone locations.
Utilities provided:
•
Portal Connection Utility provides a link to the portal if a portal
site exists.
•
Authentication Button Utility allows you to use the authentication
link in SharePoint.
•
Settings Link Utility provides a link to the settings of the WSS
site.
•
Search Utility enables the end-user to search the WSS or the portal
site. The utility also allows you to search your entire SharePoint
site through a WSS site.
•
Property Projection Utility allows you to display a selected
property. The end-user may choose from the Title, Description, URL
or SiteOwnerName properties.
