The following list of 'Frequently Asked Questions' (FAQs) pertain to our resources, especially our downloadable Web Parts and components.

ExpandHow do I configure any of the Free Web Parts?

Answer:

Once the Web Part is installed you can use the Help Link on the Web Part to get instructions on how to use and configure the Web Part. (NOTE: The help link is also available in the Site Settings Page as well).

To install the Web Part you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Install the solution package
    • use stsadm -o addsolution -filename *.wsp if you are a SharePoint administrator
    • --or--
    • use the self-installing exe package ON THE SERVER if you are a Business User
  2. Activate the appropriate site collection feature
  3. View the help documents from the site settings page.
