SharePoint is Microsoft’s answer to a changing work world increasingly focused on collaboration.  SharePoint allows employees, teams, departments, organizational partners and customers to connect and collaborate through a central corporate portal. SharePoint’s Web 2.0 capabilities, including wikis, blogs, discussion boards, and personal messaging, will allow your end users to breakthrough your company’s departmental silos.  There’s a lot more to SharePoint than the simple uploading and sharing of documents typically found in today's Enterprise Content Management suites.   

Introduction to SharePoint 2007 is an intensive, SharePoint expert-led, one day introduction to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007(MOSS 2007).  An overview of SharePoint Server 2007 is presented to each student including an exploration of the key SharePoint Server 2007 features. The workshop provides an introduction to SharePoint 2007’s core capabilities including the Collaboration, Portal, Enterprise Content Management and Enterprise Search feature groups.  Upon course completion, students will have a complete knowledge of SharePoint’s available features and their business value within an organization.
 

Prerequisites:

 

This is an introductory course and previous experience with SharePoint is not required. Introduction to SharePoint 2007 requires basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
