Migrate to SharePoint 2007 is ideal for those companies who are currently using SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and want to perform an in-house migration over to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.   Our SharePoint expert instructors will help you avoid the common pitfalls when migrating to SharePoint 2007 and provide you with the expertise required for a successful SharePoint 2007 migration.  

Migrate to SharePoint 2007 is an intensive, SharePoint expert-led, four day course designed to teach each student how to migrate to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007(MOSS 2007) from SharePoint Portal Server 2003(SPS 2003). Course candidates typically work in medium to large size organizations who need to migrate to SharePoint 2007 using in-house IT resources. The in-place upgrade, gradual upgrade and content database migration methods will be discussed in detail from a design, planning and implementation perspective.  Migrate to SharePoint 2007 has significant hands-on labs that demonstrate to each student, through annotated step-by-step instructional screenshots, the in-place, gradual and content database upgrade options.  Supplemental labs also cover the new features of SharePoint Server 2007 allowing each student to accelerate their understanding of MOSS 2007.
 

Prerequisites:  

This is not an introductory course and students require a solid understanding of SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Windows SharePoint Services 2.0(WSS 2.0).  Students should also have a good understanding of Web Portal administration including: DNS, IIS, Active Directory and Networking.

This course is designed for SharePoint administrators, network administrators, architects, designers, and planners who are tasked with migrating their organization’s current SharePoint Portal Server 2003 over to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
