Responsible for deploying SharePoint 2010 or upgrading your existing farm to SharePoint 2010? In this class you will spend four intensive days drilling down on the most important topics and best practices associated with managing and architecting SharePoint Server 2010 farms.

Prerequisites:


Attendees should have professional experience with system administration in a Windows network environment. Attendees should have previous experience installing and configuring Windows Server 2003 / 2008, Active Directory and SQL Server. It is recommended (but not required) that attendees have previous experience working with SharePoint sites from the user perspective.

Module 01 Getting started with SharePoint 2010
In this module we will cover the fundamentals you need in place to get SharePoint off the ground.

Module 02 Install SharePoint Server 2010
This module will focus on installing SharePoint. Use of the prerequisite installer and the actual installation process will be covered. Once the install is finished the use of configuration wizard will covered to create a new farm.

Module 03 Configuring your SharePoint 2010 farm
In this module we will focus on the key configuration tasks now that SharePoint has been installed. The new service applications architecture is quite a departure from the Shared Services Provider (SSP) in 2007 and makes a host of scenarios now possible.

Module 04 Creating your first web application
